Undoing a binding spell, undoing a spell

Post by MaineCaptain on Sun Aug 16, 2009 4:10 pm

I have a question for all those with knowledge of spell work and its unforeseen consequences.

Please bear with me, I had this all worded in my head last night and now I have to rethink it.

How does one, undo a spell they did not intentionally cast? unintentionally cast on another person.

What if a young person who knows nothing about magic or spells, but has a natural talent, casts a binding spell on someone with out realizing they are doing it. And only many years later realizes what they have done and wishes and needs to remove the spell?

Can it be removed?, and how would one go about removing it? Would just a sincerely desire to free the person and saying it do the trick?

Advice welcome.

Email me with specifics. We'll see what we can do.

I think I'll let SG handle this one, but add a word of caution....this is why we have to guard our thoughts and try to control our emotions. I've accidently cast plenty of "spells" unintentionally, simply because I let my emotions get out of control. Not that emotions are bad of course...just things like this can happen. It shouldn't be a problem to remove an accidental binding; I don't see the removal as having any karmic backlash. I assume the karmic backlash would have come at the onset of the spell, even if it were accidental. Just my thoughts.

I agree with Tameless in terms of karmic backlash, I don't see that there would be any repercussions for restoring what I would call "the natural order of things". Generally speaking. Well, if you need my help on something, just email.

Thank you all of you for your input, And SG I have emailed you, if you need more info, please feel free to ask. Thanks Embarassed

It is stupid to think on it, being so far back, but since it was brought to my attention last night that it was something that needed attention, and needed fixing. I do think it needs fixing

Can I ask a stupid question (since I have absolutely no experience in such things)? What is a binding spell? Does it somehow bind one person to another......and how does that work? Just curious....

Binding someone usually refers to preventing them from doing something. Sometimes they are used to keep a person out of your life, and sometimes they can be detrimental to the person. It just kind of depends. Not a stupid question at all! I don't think bindings usually refer to attaching one person to another.

Edited to add;
Bindings can be performed in a number of ways. I usually use knot magic for that. There are other folk methods, such as the use of poppets (sewing mouths shut, tying them up). Usually it's done sympathetically.

Alright I admit it, it is me that did it, it is just too embarrassing Embarassed
Young people need to be warned.

You are right Tameless, one must be very careful about how they direct their emotions they are wonderful and powerful, and one must be careful.

In my case it was to prevent someone from doing something, but it was in retrospect an unkind thing to do. Something I had no right to do. At the time coming from a pre-teen it seemed the right thing to do. Not a sensible youngster

Thank you (((Tameless))) Very Happy

Don't be embarrassed....we're all learning life's lessons and screwing up along the way! How would I ever know about or know NOT to do such a thing if somebody else didn't make a mistake (and vice versa)? Did you learn from your mistake? If so, lesson learned....onto the next one!

Another question....how did you learn to do such a thing as a pre-teen?? Did someone teach you?

actually no, no one told me or showed me, My mother was somewhat enlightened, but she was not into spell work, and I do not think she would encourage a preteen anyway.

At that point in my life, I didn't know anything, but I realized early that if I said something with passion I could manifest it. Obviously not always, but it happened enough to be aware it could happen.

I never tried to hurt anyone, nothing like that, but the spell I wish to undo was selfish, of-course at the time I did not realize how selfish.
