Rosie (My Cat) has now gone to the great beyond

Post by MaineCaptain on Fri Aug 14, 2009 10:05 pm

Wasn't sure where to put this here or the pet section, I am here so here it will go. Rosie, the beautiful girl in my avatar has passed on. She is the one I have written about being unwell.

She got so bad that I decided it was time, So this week she went on to a better place. If I have seemed grumpy or out of it, that is why. I miss her, Although I still have four wonderful kitty cats, She has left a hole in my heart.

Sincerest sympathy to you, MC.

I know the feeling, having decided when a beloved kitty kid who'd been with me for nearly twenty years quit eating that it was time to ease her onward.

It's still a difficult decision nonetheless.

Thank you so much Dot,
It is odd but I needed to share with the people I care about, so I posted it here. Embarassed

It is especially sad since she was only six years old. The vet believes she had lesions on the brain. As much as I miss her, I keep thinking she can now be what she could not be in life.
(If there is truly an afterlife, like I hope and believe there is.)

She can bounce and play and catch spirit mouses.

She was such a doll baby.

I've found your avatar kind of eerie actually as she very much resembled a half Siamese black cat we had several years ago, even to his eye color. Her face was fuller than his but still spooky how great a resemblance there was.

I found the original to that picture yesterday, she was almost a year old when I took it. SHe was still reasonable healthy and happy then, she caught a mouse after that, a little one like herself. She was petite an beautiful.

I am glad she reminded you of a half Siamese from your past Smile
Funny thing is she never uttered a sound until she was nearly three years old, I didn't know she could speak. When she finally spoke it was a little girl sound like a little bird.

She had a very strong hold on my heart, that little girl. We rescued her and her brother at five weeks old. He is the epitome of strength and health. And he has two little nicks out of his ear that she gave him as a kitten. Makes me smile now to see them, I know it sounds silly.

I'm so sorry, MC. She was a beautiful cat and I know that she was a good friend. It is a hard decision to make but I'm sure you did the right thing. ((((((((MC)))))))

Sad Oh, MaineCaptain, I am so very sorry of your special friends passing. We know you did the right thing, by her. In Rosie's pic/your Avatar: She shows that her heart captivated not only you but intelligence, wonderment, class & spirit!
Blessings to you my friend. Hug

Oh Willow, that was beautiful,
She was something. She had gumption, even when she could hardly walk, she would "run" and chase her house-mates. Such perseverance our companion animals have. Thank you Willow, thank you Embarassed Hug

((((((Nay_ho_tze)))) I am so sorry, we are in the same boat, losing a baby (cat) I think of them as babies. I keep telling myself she is so much better off now. But the space is sad.

I keep stepping over her old bedding area, as if she was still there. Embarassed

Hi MaineCaptain - Your Rosie reminds me of my own, long ago, black cat,
"Mala Suerte" I called her, Spanish for bad luck -
she came to "Mala" --
and was a little mischief maker.
I had her tortoise shell sister too -
named "Maravista" Spanish for marvelous -
she answered to "Mara" --
(I was young, what can I say? *lol*...)
Mara used to sleep in the bathroom sink ... go figure, eh?

Did you happen to catch the "Do Animals Reincarnate?" thread in PL&R?
