This show is a lot better than you'd think just looking at the title.

Hmmm...say more about why you think that if you would, Kitty.

Hard for me to imagine that it's anywhere near as good as The Good Wife. Damn! but that is one well-written show with realistic situations and believable characters. I hope the writers can keep it going at that quality level for some time without screwing it up.

It's horribly soap-opera-ish, I admit, but the writing, production, and acting are all top-notch, and it tackles issues like sex, teen pregnancy, abortion, divorce, LGBT issues, in a manner that is both realistic AND compassionate.

It starts with Amy taking a pregnancy test (which was, of course, positive), and goes on to deal with, well... everything. (She had hooked up with Ricky as a one-time thing, and I quote, "I'm not even sure it was sex".) Anyway, it goes on from there, with Amy deciding to carry to term and keep the baby, all while still going to school.

Also, the one character with Down's Syndrome, swear to Ceiling Cat, gets all the best lines. He's portrayed as quite clever, often dealing in information that others would love to know (and has been paid for said information more than once.)

It's an addictive little show, really.
