Magma Venture Musings

Post by John T Mainer on Tue Oct 19, 2010 11:01 pm

A mountain giant softly sleeping,
or roused volcano quick to slay?
Beyond the roads the hidden truth
in silence locked away.

Raise the call, the muster cry!
to Rangers far and near
Men and women comforts leave,
grab your cadpat and your gear.

Through the dark the engines race,
in frosty moonlight camp,
Come the morn the mountain waits,
its challenge to reveal.

River runs through windswept gorge,
no Ranger will deny!
A bridge of hard hauled cabels raised
sway machines and men across.

Where fallen logs block the way,
Ranger's chainsaws sing,
Crevasses filled and ridges climbed,
Rangers make a way.

Pounded by the trees and rocks
machines flipped, stalled and broken
Rangers righted, fixed, or towed,
thier task they will accomplish

Mountain giant sleeping still,
no danger here today,
Secrets lost beyond the roads,
until Rangers found the way

-To the men and women of 4CRPG, 100 Mile House (and attachments) who made Exercize Magma Venture possible and amazing. Where there were no roads we pushed through, where there were no bridges, we made them. When something is lost behind the mountains, the Rangers will find a way.

Sorry...I can't let this stand. It was wild gibberish, had nothing to do with the post and I get HIGHLY offended when the word "rape" is tossed around like this.

It has not been deleted, I have saved it. I just could not look at it any longer.

OK, three out of four of your posts are coherent and relatively on topic. And I get this.

I am not an American, have no idea where in your little mind you are comming up with all the rape and slavery fantasy stuff, but kindly keep it away from my posts (a psychiatrists office would perhaps be a good place for you to explore your issues in this area).

4th Canadian Rangers Patrol Group, 100 Mile House Patrol, British Columbia Canada. Not associated, affiliated, connected or interoperating with the US military in any way shape or form.

I don't know where your fixation on date rape drugs, slavery, and rape comes from, but if you have been victimized you should contact authorities. If you just like to talk about/fantasize about it, seek help before doing something you will not be able to take back.

I don't think I want to know either.

I thought John's poem quite enjoyable myself.

Trust me, you did not "miss" anything. You're better off for not having seen it.

Well, Dave, he actually, as John said, posted fairly rational comments elsewhere. I guess even the nuttiest of freaks can have lucid moments.
