Interesting view of JFK assassination

There's a really intriguing review of the events surrounding the assassination of JFK running on History Channel currently, JFK: 3 Seconds That Changed America.

Unlike most documentaries, this one is composed entirely of segments of film footage of the time period put together chronologically. The only commentaries are from those given by newscasters at the time.

There are a number of very interesting interviews with people who were along the motorcade route to a press conference of reporters questioning Lee Harvey Oswald, even a brief interview of Abraham Zapruder, now famous for the so-called Zapruder video of the actual shooting.

If you're interested in history of the period, this is definitely one to watch. It really captures the flavor of the time and does a good job, I thought, of showing how frightened and deeply affected people were.
